Why do I have to log in frequently to keep my registered company active?

It is important that the content on Towing.com remains current. This means we have to figure out how we can economically allow companies to get free benefits, like registration, without taking on a bunch of expenses in making sure thousands of companies are still in business.

We do two things to make sure the free registrations are still in business and are real companies.

1. We Call Before Making Live on the Site

Before a free registration goes live, we call. This call is to make sure the number is correct, and the company is in business.

2. Companies Must Login To Remain Active

In business at the time of submission tells us they are in business at that point. But business is hard, and many companies come and go frequently.

By requiring a login the company shows that they are still operating as a towing company and value being registered.
A spam company or closed company wouldn't have a reason to log in... therefor we expire the listing.
